Tiffany Boyd-Hodgson

Dr. Tiffany Boyd-Hodgson is a wife, mother of four, scientist, and small business owner living in San Marcos. Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, Tiffany feels right at home with our unincorporated North County communities that make up the vast majority of the fifth district.
Tiffany became politically involved in 2016 when a group of parents asked her to run for school board. After quickly seeing the importance of local government and knowing firsthand how important it is for parents, Tiffany became a fierce advocate for child safety and improving the education curriculum for students.
Tiffany is an established, respected, and well-known professional in the neuroscience community. After relocating her small business to San Marcos, she instantly fell in love with the beauty of North County and its vibrant communities. Being a scientist, Tiffany knows that data and facts speak louder than special interests. As a small business owner, she understands the struggles local businesses endured during the pandemic and is committed to recuperating the 25,000 jobs North County lost during that time
Tiffany has volunteered to help domestic violence survivors, raised money for victims of human trafficking, been elected by her community more to than one office, and the list goes on. She has proven time and again that she’s not one to sit around and wait for problems to solve themselves. When Tiffany sees a need in her community, she listens, rolls up her sleeves, and gets to work.
As a current elected Director on the Vallecitos Water District, Tiffany has championed common sense advancements to make water affordable and accessible. She led the effort to make the workplace more equitable and even fought shut-offs for ratepayers who couldn’t pay during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tiffany defends our beaches and waterways to protect our North County resources.
Now more than ever, North County needs a bold and effective leader at the Board of Supervisors. Dr. Tiffany Boyd-Hodgson has a strong voice and a proven track record to get the job done.
